Preloved Halikko necklace 70 cm bronze

The Halikko necklace is modeled after a chain of finely decorated silver beads, part of a medieval silver treasure discovered in Southwest Finland in 1887. The impressive necklace is one of the most iconic Kalevala designs and has appeared in many variations over the decades. Two of the unpatterned oval beads conceal a screw mechanism. By screwing the clasp beads open you can detach a 20 cm section to make the necklace shorter and wear the detached part as a bracelet.  Total length 70 cm.
