The model for the Paratiisi pendant has been the chain carriers attached to the shoulders of the multi-row chest chains found in Janakkalan's Kernaala. Two long-necked birds, presumably peacocks, guarding the cup of the water of life are depicted on the chain brackets. The ornament was previously known as the Hämäläinen julpa koru. Anchor chain, spring ring lock. Please note that depending on when the jewelry was made, the back side of the jewelry can be either smooth or patterned like the front side of the jewelry.
