The prototype of the earrings has been a bronze rattling horse pendant, which was found in Kekomäki in Kaukola. The jewelry is from the time of the Karelia Crusades. The jewelry entered Kalevala Jewelry's collection in the 1950s, and it was made until the turn of the millennium.
