The strength of a bear, the might of a bear. For Nordic peoples, the bear was the king of the forest, a symbol of power and strength. For many, the bear was also a symbol of ancient wisdom – after all, it was believed that the bear was both of the forest and related to people. One of the earliest pieces of Kalevala jewelry was a bracelet depicting bear heads leaning on paws. The bear motif came from eastern Finnic peoples. Now the same bear head adorns the Kalevala Bear amulet.

The silver St. John’s Arms amulet appeals to all friends of small and light jewelry, who take interest in intriguing details, powerful stories and beliefs from distant past. Wear long, short or inbetween, perhaps two or even three Amulets simultaneously. The plain reverse side can be engraved. Adjustable length 40/45/50 cm. The pendant is delivered with a separate extension piece you can use to make the chain even longer, 55 or 60 cm. Spring ring clasp on both the chain and the extension.
